Who are we?

Maid in Melbourne is not a franchise. We are a 100% Australian, family owned and operated business. We have a wealth of knowledge gathered over eighteen years of experience in the residential and commercial cleaning industries. We value our clients and strive to provide the ultimate cleaning service. All of our Cleaners are thoroughly screened and trained to provide the high standard of cleaning our clients have come to expect.

What services do you offer?

We offer a range of cleaning services for the home or office. Whether you require a Regular service (daily, bi-weekly, weekly or fortnightly), Spring Cleans/One-Off Cleans or Vacating Cleans, we have a cleaning solution for you.

How does it work?

On booking your service, we find a suitable Cleaner and provide them with your details. We will then contact you as soon as possible to confirm arrangements. For your peace of mind, all the Cleaners we use are security checked and fully insured for Public Liability and Product Liability.

Are there any exclusions?

There are certain chores that we cannot do:-

Cleaning of ceilings, including mould

Cleaning chandeliers

Moving heavy furniture

Removal of rubbish

Animal waste removal

Human waste removal

Removal of any stickers on walls or windows

Cleaning Air Conditioning units

Removal and cleaning of curtains and drapes

Removal and cleaning of fly screens

Cleaning of concrete stains

We do not offer high pressure cleaning

Cleaning of pools

Cleaning of bbq’s

Cleaning of Windows externally

How do I pay?

We accept credit card details upon booking your service.  For your peace of mind, all your details are secure, and you will not be charged until your service is completed.

Is your service safe and secure?

At Maid in Melbourne we understand your concerns about safety and security. We have a thorough screening process that includes face to face interviews, police checks, identification checks and reference checks for your peace of mind.

How often do you service domestic homes?

We provide a weekly or fortnightly residential cleaning service depending on your preference. Some of our clients also prefer to have a bi-weekly service which allows you more time to focus on the more important things in your life.

Do you supply the cleaning products and equipment?

Regular cleaning service – the cleaner shall use your products and equipment.

Our Cleaners will be happy to recommend products but if you have a particular product that you would prefer, then please let them know and leave it out for them to use.

Should you request the cleaner to supply products and equipment there is an additional fee.

For all spring cleans and moving cleans, the cleaners will supply all the products and equipment required to do the job properly.

Do I need to be there when you clean?

We ask that you meet with your Cleaner prior to the first clean, giving you the opportunity to communicate your requirements and show them your equipment and products. It is your choice whether you wish to be there while they are cleaning. Most of our clients are happy to leave us a key and an alarm code which is completely confidential and is stored safely and securely.

What about my pets?

Please advise us in advance if you have pets, particularly dogs. Usually we ask that you make arrangements to ensure your pet won’t impede the work of our Cleaners.

Can I postpone my clean whilst I am away?

Definitely, all we ask is that you give us prior notice – at least 24 hours – so you do not incur any cancellation fees.

Can I change my Cleaner?

Great care is taken to allocate a Cleaner suited to your needs. In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your service, all it will take is a phone call to our office.

Do you guarantee the service?

We guarantee the quality of our service 100%, on the proviso that enough time has been allocated for the Cleaner to properly complete the assigned jobs, and that the job requirements were accurately communicated in the first instance. Call us within 24 hours of your cleaning service to advise us of any concerns or issues. We will require evidence i.e., photographs prior to sending the Cleaner back to address any issues.
